The 2005 Canada Summer Games was a national sports spectacle witnessed by thousands of sports fans across the country. For the athlete, it was an opportunity to represent their province and compete with and against some of the most talented players in the country at a national level.

In the Championship Game which took place August 12th, Ontario defeated British Columbia 5-1!
Ontario wins the GOLD! – In a clash of two undefeated teams, one had to come out on top to be declared the 2005 Canada Summer Games Baseball Champion…and it was Ontario who captured that title. Putting together a masterful performance, Scott Diamond (ON) only gave up one run on three hits, striking out twelve B.C. batters, en route to throwing a complete-game and capturing the Gold medal. This was the final game of a very competitive and exciting tournament.
