Paul has played 14 Major League seasons with the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, San Diego Padres and Florida Marlins.
Over his 14-year career in the major leagues, Paul has epitomized consistency. A journeyman that has played for seven major league clubs, he has always accepted the role in which he was placed and worked tirelessly to succeed in that roll whether it was as a starter, a closer, a set-up man or in long relief.
As a result, Paul has emerged as one of the finest pitchers Canada has ever produced. He is only the third pitcher in the history of Canadian baseball (and the first in 25 years) to rank in Canadas top-10 in wins (84), innings pitched (1255.7), strikeouts (725) and saves (21). A true Canadian workhorse, he has also pitched in more major league games than any other Canadian pitcher his mark of 841 eclipsing the previous record of 664 games pitched by Hall-offamer Ferguson Jenkins. Paul has recently added one more note of significance to his rsum: he has now pitched for the Canadian National Team at the inaugural World Baseball Classic.
